Nell Nockles
Nell Nockles, a life long asthmatic, was born in Cleveland Ohio USA and came to live in the UK following her marriage to Tony in 1968. In 1996 Nell became interested in studying house dust mites following a TV programme by Dr Jill Warner describing the dangers to asthmatics from mite exposure and what to do to avoid them.

Matthew Colloff is a senior research scientist with CSIRO Entomology in Canberra, Australia. He has studied the biology and ecology of dust mites for the last 25 years, focusing on factors affecting their global distribution and abundance, as well as methods for dust mite control.
